Claiming Pension Credit can make a massive difference to the quality of life an older person enjoys, a leading UK charity has stated.
According to Age Concern, Pension Credit - along with other benefits - can provide people in their senior years with much-needed extra cash per week.
Such funds can aid in alleviating the stress of finding it hard to make ends meet, a spokesperson for the charity stated.
"Claiming benefits helps many pensioners to pay their bills, buy better food, help pay off debts, pay for care, put money aside for emergencies and be able to afford small luxuries that make a big difference," she added.
Pension Credit gives older people a minimum level of income and provides those who have made savings for their retirement and who have modest incomes with extra cash.
The amount of funds people receive under the terms of the scheme is based on their income and other circumstances.
