The UK's Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has announced the launch of a new initiative for those participating in employee pension schemes.
Launched in the form of a new book, the initiative has been devised in order to help increase the understanding of the workings of PPF compensation.
"Independent research showed us that while we are communicating well with employers and trustees, many scheme members were not aware of who we are or what we do," said Lawrence Churchill, chairman of the PPF.
"This initiative is designed to help provide confidence," he added.
The new booklet has been named Help! My employer has gone bust … and I think I might lose my pension.
Established in 2005, the PPF was created after the passing of the Pensions Act 2004.
